Ronald Young

MANAGING PARTNER

Ronald graduated from the University of the West Indies Faculty of Law in Barbados in 1999 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours Degree. He subsequently obtained his Legal Education Certificate in 2001 from the Norman Manley Law School. Prior to his law degree, Ronald attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with First Class Honours, from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

 

He spent four years employed to the law firm of Myers Fletcher & Gordon, where he was elevated to the position of Senior Associate in the Commercial Department, with emphasis on corporate law, intellectual property, entertainment law, telecommunications law and commercial contracts.

 

In 2005 Ronald was employed to Lime (Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited) as Legal Advisor (Head of Department) in the Legal, Regulatory and Public Policy Division advising on all aspects of intellectual property, entertainment law, commercial and telecommunications law.

 

Since March of 2008 Ronald has operated the law firms Williams Young Parker, with Co-Partners Senator Arthur Williams Jnr and Michelle Parker, and then his own law firm Young Law in 2019.

 

Ronald has several years of experience in commercial and corporate matters, intellectual property, civil litigation and in the entertainment industry. 

 

He has served as secretary of the Bar Associations Intellectual Property Law Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Jamaica Anti-Piracy Alliance (JAPA) Legal Advisor to the YMCA and the Jamaica Business Development Centre.

 

Ronald also serves on several Boards of Directors including The Financial Services Commission (FSC), Stewarts Hardware Limited and Production Resource Systems Limited (PRS).

Natalia Casado 

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Natalia joined the Firm in 2017 and as of January 1, 2022, is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. She was called to the bar in December 2016, and her practice areas include general civil and commercial litigation, labour and property litigation, medical negligence and personal injury litigation. 

 

Natalia is an Immaculate High alum and graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in Political Science. She went on to work at the United Nations in New York City before returning to Jamaica to pursue a Bachelor of Laws at the University of the West Indies, Mona (“UWI”). There she represented UWI at the Caribbean Court of Justice Moot Court Competition in Port of Spain, Trinidad, where the team placed 2nd overall and won the award for Best Academic Institution, the first ever mooting award bestowed on the Faculty of Law at Mona. Natalia went on to graduate with Honours from UWI with a Bachelor of Laws degree.

 

Following UWI, Natalia enrolled at the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS) and graduated in October 2016. 

 

Natalia is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.

 

Natalia enjoys travelling, watching documentaries, listening to music with a special love for World Music. She also has a love for cuisine and spending quality time with family and friends.

Keodi Palmer

PARALEGAL

Keodi Palmer has over fifteen (15) years of experience in the legal field. Her specialties are in the areas of Conveyancing, Probate and Estate Management, Family Law and Litigation.

 

Keodi holds a BSc in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Paralegal Studies. In her down time she enjoys spending time with her two (2) daughters, doing volunteer work (as a member of Kiwanis Club of South St. Andrew) and reading.    

 

Her motto is " Love Life and Live".
